MICHauto Summit
The Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce gathered a Summit at the Cobo Center to look under the hood of the new era of Michigan innovation and the blueprint it provides for the rest of the global automotive industry. This year’s Summit included programming steering discussion on the outlook on design, engineering, manufacturing and all things automotive. It was also the event unveiling the latest Michigan is AUTO report, released jointly with MEDC's Pure Michigan.

The Lansing regional Sister Cities Commission 20th Anniversary Celebration of Global Diversity
The Lansing regional Sister Cities Commission gathered the community, their partner groups, friends and global neighbors Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan for the celebration of their 20-year anniversary.

The day included a luncheon, presentation on cyber-security, a reception, and dinner.

Michigan Israeli Business Bridge Ambassador Awards Dinner
The Michigan Israel Business Bridge held their first Ambassador Awards Dinner, Thursday September 18, 2014. MIBB is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote business, investment, and research opportunities. The organization is a resource for economic development between Michigan and Israel. MIBB will bestow two awards during the dinner.

The Bridge Builder Award to General Dynamics Land Systems was accepted by Donald Schenk, vice president, International Tank Programs. General Dynamics Land Systems is a global designer, development, production, support and enhancement of tracked and wheeled military vehicles for the United States and international markets.

Here CEO Chris Holman interviews Chuck Newman, the MIBB Impact Awardee who is the organization’s co-founder and past-president. The companies Chuck founded included cell phone reuse, word processing equipment, and computer retailing industries.
13th Annual MSAE Diamond Awards Banquet
The MSAE Diamond Awards, now in its 13th year, was created to recognize outstanding achievements in the association industry. Associations from all over Michigan gathered in Rochester, MI, the evening of Wednesday September 17, 2014, as the Michigan Society of Association Executives looked back over the past year and honor the accomplishments, programs, projects, and initiatives Michigan associations have created and implemented.

Here as honorees began to arrive to the red carpet, at the Royal Park Hotel, Bruce Aldrich, CAE, and Master of Cermony for the evening, and Co-Host of Association Impact, conducts an interview with Denise G. McGinn, CAE, Founder and President of Association Guidance who was receiving the Strategic Association Leader Award later that evening.

ITS World Congress
The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) was proud to host the 2014 World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems, September 7-11, 2014 in Detroit, Michigan in partnership with ERTICO and ITS Asia-Pacific.
The World Congress only comes to North America every third year. Close to 20,000 of the world’s leading transportation policymakers, researchers, high-tech innovators, and business professionals from the United States, Europe and Asia gathered at points over the five day event to share the latest intelligent transportation systems (ITS) applications from around the globe.

CAR Management Briefing Seminars
Celebrating its 49th year as the premier management conference for the North American automotive industry, the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) Management Briefing Seminars (MBS) event takes place annually the first week in August at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa near Traverse City, Michigan. It attracts senior management from automakers and suppliers, along with significant representation from academia, labor, government and the financial community, as well as business and automotive press. MLBA Announces Endorsements for Michigan Legislative Candidates
After much consideration, the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association (MLBA) is proud to announce its endorsement of candidates for the upcoming state election in November. The MLBA was founded in 1939 and represents approximately 1,800 liquor licensees - from bars and restaurants to hotels, golf courses, and convenience stores.
