Friday, January 13th Michigan Business Network was on the road to Detroit. Dome IQ for 2023 was held. It's the long-running, bipartisan "New Legislators and Leaders" conference, hosted by former Michigan House Speaker, Chuck Perricone at the Atheneum Hotel in downtown Detroit.

Friday morning featured a series of private, "Legislators only" work sessions. It is (very) well attended--anticipated, really--and boasts a 93%+ attendance record since its inception in 2005.

MBN was invited in this time around meeting with a blend of guests from Legislators and their Leaders, to leaders of other organizations across Michigan.

For this first of nine interviews, Chris Holman spends time with Quentin Messer Jr. CEO, of MEDC, who had just addressed the legislative gathering.
