Luann shares the importance of National Disability Employment Awareness month and how this year marks the 75th observance. The Michigan Works! Association does an excellent job of serving individuals with disabilities. Their members and the 16 Michigan Works! organizations across the state, serve over 600,000 job seekers each year. Among those job seekers, there are many individuals with disabilities. Michigan Works! partners with a variety of agencies both statewide and locally to provide training and assistance that helps them move seamlessly to the next level of employment.

LANSING, Mich.—Michigan residents will have improved access to adult education programs as 97 organizations have been awarded Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) funding to support adult education and literacy programs throughout the state. This represents an increase of nearly 13% in approved providers over the previous program year.
