LANSING, Mich.— Today, Governor Whitmer announced the Battery and Advanced Manufacturing Challenge, a $125 million strategic investment from the Make it in Michigan Competitiveness Fund that offers matching grant dollars for battery and advanced manufacturing projects to help bring federal infrastructure in transformative projects to Michigan.
LANSING, Mich.— Today, Governor Whitmer signed unanimous, bipartisan legislation that cuts red tape and lowers costs for families that are transferring assets, like a vehicle or watercraft, when a family member has passed. The new law will ensure values of the title transfers are aligned with the cost of living so that families are not left on the hook for additional costs.

Peters’ AVERT Future Violence Act – which he reintroduced with U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) – would commission a Justice Department study to assess the link between acts of animal cruelty and future violence against others – such as domestic violence and gun violence.
