Latest Expansion in Charlotte Reinforces Lansing Region's Growing EV Manufacturing and Supply Chain Prowess 

CHARLOTTE, Mich. (Feb 7, 2023) — Today, the Shyft Group (NASDAQ: SHYF) announced plans to continue investing in and expanding the company's facilities in Charlotte, Mich. Shyft will invest approximately $16 million for expansion and improvements in facilities and new equipment related to the production of electric vehicles (EV). The latest expansion plans will enable the production of commercial electric vehicles for its Blue Arc™ EV Solutions brand, launched last year.

Program Seeks to Increase and Strengthen Black Businesses Across Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties

(Feb. 1, 2023) — The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), with support from the PNC Foundation, has opened applications for the second cohort of Elevate, a Black business accelerator program in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties. Applications to the Elevate program will be accepted until February 26, 2023.

LANSING, Mich. (Nov. 17, 2022) — In a night of creative collaboration, five local entrepreneurs pitched at The Hatching, Lansing Economic Area Partnership’s (LEAP) regular pitch competition. The event, open to entrepreneurs in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, and Shiawassee counties, took place November 10 at UrbanBeat Event Center in Lansing’s Old Town Neighborhood and marked LEAP’s last pitch competition of 2022. In addition to the night’s winners, November’s entrepreneurial lineup included a bakery with the goal of offering a late-night sober experience, an app to consolidate come-to-you services in one place, and a family outreach service for teen mothers and other underserved youth.
