The festival Homer Simpson always wanted is coming back to Homer Stryker Field. Donut and Beer Festival takes place right on the field at the ballpark in downtown Kalamazoo. Attendees can expect one of a kind donuts from more than 25 donut vendors, craft beers and ciders from over 50 local and out of state breweries, live music, and yard games. It’s an all ages event too, with non-alcoholic cider tickets so the whole family can enjoy! Donut worry, beer happy!

The Tulip Time Festival in Holland, Michigan, began in 1929 to celebrate Holland’s Dutch culture and heritage, while also beautifying the community with tulips. Berkley Days takes place the week following Mother’s Day every year. This year, the Midway runs from May 18, 2019 through May 19, 2019
All of the events take place at 2400 Robina, Berkley MI 48072 at the Community Center, Ice Arena and surrounding parking lots.
Parking is limited. There is some parking available in the Community Center Parking lot, as well as on local streets. Please be considerate of residents in the area and do not block driveways or fire hydrants.
We encourage residents to walk to bike to Berkley Days. Thanks to Cub Scout Pack 1082 there will be a secure bicycle, stroller, skateboard and scooter parking area available outside the ice rink.
The Blessing of The Bikes spans the entire third weekend in May. Bikers come from all across the country to take part, beginning with the ceremonial entrance on Friday afternoon down M-37 corridor, and culminating with the Blessing at the Airport on Sunday. Highlights include a multitude of vendors, charming downtown landmarks, the rich cultural history of Lake County and the brotherhood of bikers drawn from all corners of the country. All are invited to attend and participate in the festivities.

Boyne City on the shores of Lake Charlevoix will celebrate the 59th Morel Mushroom Festival May 17-20, 2018; outdoor enthusiasts and gourmet food lovers can enjoy: “Taste of Morels”,the largest concentration of morel cooking anywhere. Hometown community festival kicking off spring, the little league season and a great day of fun for all. Highland Fire Department Fireman’s Association Pancake Breakfast 7-11 a.m. Community Parade 10 a.m. (Staging at 1 a.m. at the Highland Activity Center). The Annual Michigan State University Spring Arts & Crafts Show will be held at the MSU Union on the corner of Grand River Ave. and Abbott Rd. in East Lansing, MI. This show is one of the largest spring arts and crafts shows in the State with attendance of 25,000. Admission is free and there is ample, free parking close to the show, which is being held on the grounds.

See colorful hot air balloons float across Michigan’s Little Bavaria during Balloons over Bavarian Inn! Balloon pilots from across the country head to Frankenmuth for daily competitions during Memorial Day weekend and head to River Place Shops for the Village of Balloons nightly glow events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Annual St. Mary’s Polish Country Fair is Memorial Day Weekend, from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27, located on the beautiful grounds of the Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Schools. With attendance over 100,000, this event holds the distinction of being “America’s Largest High School Fair” and offers an array of activities and fun for all ages, including 45 different fun-filled rides, games, live bands, Kidzone crafts and activities, open square vendor area, giant Vegas tent, Bingo, Bier Garten festuring Michigan Beers, and more. The fair offers a great variety of food and beverages, including a spectacular array of genuine Polish food. There truly is something fun for everyone!

Come for the weekend, the day, an individual workshop or for the evening. Traditional Arts Weekend is an annual event held over the Memorial Day weekend on the Wheatland Festival grounds near Remus, Michigan. The Community Education committee provides over 80 workshops in traditional forms of dance, music, crafts, vocal, and instrument instruction that participants might not otherwise be exposed to. Free primitive camping for participants. Food is available to purchase on site.

The Alma Highland Festival & Games is one of the largest Scottish Festivals in the Midwest. The Festival is noted for its Piping and Drumming competitions and has had over 30 Pipe Bands performing and competing. The Festival averages 200 Highland dances in competition during the weekend events. There are over 40 clans participating in the gathering of the clans. The heavyweight athletic competition has professional athletes on Saturday and amateurs on Sunday. Other events include 5K and 10K run with over 900 runners/walkers, a grand parade on Saturday @ 10:30 a.m., Border Collie Exhibition, Art & Crafts Fair. The 14th Annual Antrim County Petoskey Stone Festival will be held May 26th 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Barnes Park in Eastport on Grand Traverse Bay. This year’s events include a 5K/fun run, stone skipping contests, a Petoskey Stone hunt, a kid’s fish pond and the finest gem stone vendors in Michigan.

A Midwest family summertime tradition since 1932. Some visitors prefer to view the colorful man-made waterfalls and music show from the comfortable seats provided, while others climb to the top of the falls while dodging spraying water. After dark, during the summer months, shifting patterns of colored lights turn the Cascades into a hillside rainbow in vivid technicolor. Three major firework shows each summer over the top of the falls provide a spectacular display. The falls is a wheelchair and stroller accessible facility with free parking. The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix is a three–day racing festival held at Belle Isle Park in Detroit. The event features the cars of the Verizon IndyCar Series in two full-points races, called the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans. Also on the track are the sports cars of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic presented by the Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers and the trucks of the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks presented by Traxxas running three races throughout the weekend.
