MARQUETTE - The Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) is pleased to announce a formal collaborative agreement with the Baraga County EDC to provide economic development services.

“It is an exciting time for Baraga County and we are pleased to be in a position to further develop our economic resources and partner with our neighboring community,” commented Mark Massicotte, Chairman of the Baraga County EDC board of directors. “The decision to collaborate with the LSCP made great sense. Their list of accomplishments mirrored many of our forward looking goals.”

Baraga County has worked diligently to take direct responsibility for their economic development future. These goals include developing a functional and sustainable approach to economic development; balance community, environment, business and pleasure; become a community of choice and build the wealth of the community to insure sustainability for generations to come.

“The staff and board of directors of the LSCP have been able to work with the Baraga County community for some time now. This formal collaborative agreement is a natural next step and we are honored to have been selected as their service provider,” said Amy Clickner, CEO of the Lake Superior Community Partnership. “As neighbors, we see numerous opportunities for us to be successful by simply working together.”

“We are fortunate to have an accomplished group, the LSCP, willing and able to mentor, assist and partner with us to set goals and an action plan that will have a direct impact on our growth model,” concluded Massicotte.
