Detroit Technology Exchange (DTX) Launch Detroit showcase took place July 30, at TechTown Detroit. In this segment, Michigan Business Network captures a typical example of a team presentation from that evening. Paul Riser, Jr., Managing Director, Technology-Based Entrepreneurship, of TechTown Detroit welcomed the panelists, Marianne Fey, Don Holmes and Tom Shehab.
The opening presentation is by Assistive Robotics, as Max Rogowski, a student at University of Detroit Mercy, spoke on behalf of the team about their product called, SEAL (A Stability Enhancing Assistive Lift device), that aids a person in standing with their own power from a seated position in the therapist’s office. Initial inspiration came from an athlete friend who lost his college scholarship offer after injury. They wrap up the session handling the panelists' questions.
