EntrepreneurshipDetroit Technology Exchange (DTX) Launch Detroit showcase took place July 30, at TechTown Detroit. In this segment, Michigan Business Network captures a typical example of a team presentation from that evening. Paul Riser, Jr., Managing Director, Technology-Based Entrepreneurship, of TechTown Detroit welcomed the panelists, Marianne Fey, Don Holmes and Tom Shehab.

The opening presentation is by Assistive Robotics, as Max Rogowski, a student at University of Detroit Mercy, spoke on behalf of the team about their product called, SEAL (A Stability Enhancing Assistive Lift device), that aids a person in standing with their own power from a seated position in the therapist’s office. Initial inspiration came from an athlete friend who lost his college scholarship offer after injury. They wrap up the session handling the panelists' questions.

An additional video about Assistive Robotics can be found by clicking here.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
