Snapchat releases deeply integrated voter registration portal

Vote! Vote! Vote! Snapchat is encouraging individuals to register to vote by rolling out a registration initiative right within the app. Snapchat users over the age of 18 will receive a Register to Vote link that takes them to an in-app portal. They will also have the ability to add a filter that says “I’m Registered to Vote”.

Hackers will stop at nothing, including hacking their way into your network through your security video surveillance system. So start thinking big picture. If it is connected to your network in any way, it poses a risk – and even a loophole – for hackers.

One way to help your business stay ontop of social media is to create a strategy – one that includes documentation. Documentation is important because it allows a business to keep track of it’s account, monitor security settings, and outline what is allowed/not allowed for work purposes.

This isn’t a first and it certainly won’t be the last. Disaster relief organizations are battling the ongoing issue of scams. Especially for northerners like us in Michigan, we often feel helpless and feel the need to give to relief organizations during times of crisis and when mother nature shows her worst. Krebs on Security is adivising individuals to beware of scams, malicious links and fake disaster relief organizations. By all means, continue to give and support those in need – just do your research first!
