St. Johns, Mich. – University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Clinton held a celebration and recognized clinical support team members who work alongside nursing teams with the BEE award for excellence.

Senior Phlebotomist Ann Morris was nominated by a patient for her willingness to go above and beyond. Her nomination noted, “Ann found a way to help us and get tests completed that day. She is an exceptional employee who instinctively does what she can to help patients in their moment of need. She made our day!”

“Recognizing the dedication of our support team members at UM Health-Sparrow Clinton with our BEE award program is not just a ceremony, but a testament to our team members’ commitment to excellence. I’d like to congratulate the 31 nominees recognized with 38 nominations,” said Danielle Rodewald, PharmD, MBA, UM Health-Sparrow Clinton pharmacy manager and BEE Committee lead.

BEE is an acronym for Be Excellent Every day. Acknowledging the strength behind teamwork, the award is given in conjunction with the DAISY Award to symbolize the relationship between nursing and clinical support team members – the same way bees and flowers depend on each other.
