Todd McCracken

Watch Chris Holman catch up once again with Todd McCracken, President, NSBA, National Small Business Association, Washington D.C.. Chris looked to Todd to get perspective on how the rest of the nation was fairing through COVID. It varies but we’re all in a recession. Five million businesses got assistance through the federal programs, questions remain on whether a next round of assistance will be coming from national sources. Consensus building is tough different ideas are out there, but it is noise so far but not action.

Chris cited the Michigan Future Business Index showing 40% optimism coming out of COVID is actually strong for national perception. Todd mentions how some companies used this time as an opportunity. And finally the pandemic, getting through it and coming out has become the overarching focus in D.C. so there really aren’t other business issues necessarily on the radar at this moment.
