Supplier Application Closing for Buyer-Supplier Matchmaking at Making It In Michigan

Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) are excited to partner with the MSU Product Center on the 2024 Making It In Michigan event.

As a part of the Making It In Michigan event, PMBC & MDARD will host one-on-one matchmaking meetings on Wednesday, April 24 to bring together purchasers including grocers, retailers, distributors, institutional buyers, or others looking to source Michigan-made food and beverage products, with Michigan food, beverage and agriculture businesses from around the state.

Buyers include Chartwell's/Compass Group, Cherry’s LLC, Copper Top Country Store, C’mon Betty, Corewell Health, Fresh Thyme, Kids Food Basket, Kroger, Meijer Market Format Stores, SpartanNash, and Zingerman’s Creamery.

A supplier application is required for participation and should be submitted by March 27. Not all businesses may be selected for meetings, but are able to take advantage of other great Making It In Michigan resources and programming opportunities.

Registration Open for Great Lakes Bay Supplier Summit in Bay City

PMBC and a regional economic development partnership group including Bay Future, Greater Gratiot Development, Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance, Middle Michigan Development Corporation, Midland Business Alliance, and Saginaw Future, are partnering on an event connecting Michigan based suppliers to procurement opportunities with private and public purchasing organizations located in Mid-Michigan. This event will be held on Monday, May 13 in downtown Bay City.

The event will:

  • Introduce local suppliers to procurement representatives from public and private organizations
  • Educate suppliers on how to do business with participating buyers
  • Connect suppliers to technical assistance available through a resource partner network

Registration is now open through May 10. All attendees from your organization must be registered; a group registration option is available.
