The MIBA has much to share Taste of Two Nations annual recognition, fundraising, and wine tasting event is right around the corner! This year’s event will be on Thursday, October 6th. This is a great opportunity for a night of wine tasting along with a strolling dinner, a silent auction, and awards ceremony to recognize our partners in innovation across the state of Michigan.

As some of you may know, our CEO, Scott Hiipakka, is also a Brigadier General in the Michigan Army National Guard. We want to share with you all the bittersweet news that Scott is being activated for military duty starting in October, with a projected return in June 2023. The MIBA Board of Directors and the staff are extremely proud and supportive of Scott's service. We thank General Hiipakka, as well as his family for all their dedicated service in support of our country. We will miss Scott tremendously and look forward to his return.

In Scott's absence, Mark Davidoff will step in to support the MIBA in a senior advisory role. We are grateful for Mark's support.
