Con_REMCLansing, Mich. — The Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan has put $1 billion back into the budgets of Michigan's schools through their SAVE contract since 1990

REMC SAVE has offered funding to pre-K-12 public, charter and nonpublic schools, community colleges, universities, museums and many more to purchase educational resources and technologies. Using REMC SAVE contracts saves districts time and money from bidding themselves. REMC SAVE also aggregates the volume for schools in the state, often getting the lowest price for tools and services.

Throughout the years, the REMC SAVE has been an important solution for maximizing taxpayers’ dollars and extending school resources. SAVE has 1,784 items listed in its catalog and 130 catalog discounts containing hundreds of thousands more items.

“REMC SAVE provides time and money savings today that allow districts and schools to reinvest those savings in programs to promote student learning and achievement tomorrow,” said Sue Schwartz, executive director of the REMC Association. “There are very few programs like this across the country. SAVE is pretty unique, but we aren’t at all surprised by the dollars that it has saved Michigan schools.”

In 2019, REMC SAVE reached record participation in device purchasing. Almost 500 school districts, public school academies and nonpublic schools purchased 163,535 devices, totaling $42 million in sales and $37.3 million in savings.

You don’t even need an account with SAVE to order, but with an account, you can create shopping carts, rate products, evaluate vendors and recommend products.
