Access to talent and talent development is always at the top of every company’s list right now when making a decision where to locate their business. That is why Tony Vernaci Vice President, Global Business Development, MEDC, Lansing, is making it a point to visit Michigan’s aerospace academic programs in the U.P.

His first meeting was with Bob Eslinger, Interim Dean at Northern Michigan University’s (NMU) College of Technology Occupational Sciences. Bob has responsibility for their aviation technology maintenance program. He then visited with Tracy Biegler, President & CEO of Enstrom Helicopter in Menominee to tour their manufacturing facility and get an overview of their business.

Michigan has such an incredible amount of depth and history in the industry and it is not limited to certain parts of the state. As demonstrated in Ton’y trip last week to the U.P., Michigan’s aerospace industry reaches every corner of the state and has a worldwide impact.
