LANSING, MI – With spring in full swing, the Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA) announces staff promotions and additions as well as welcomes three new members to the board of commissioners.

LEPFA manages entertainment hubs within the city, including the Lansing Center, Jackson Field, and Groesbeck Golf Course. All are expected to see significant increases in activity as residents and visitors emerge from the pandemic.

“We are throwing out the welcome mat to meeting and event planners, sports fans, and golfers from throughout the country,” said Scott Keith, LEPFA president, and CEO. “Our commitment to service excellence requires an amazing team of professionals and committed leadership.”

            The new leadership team includes:

  • Michelle Green, vice president of finance, who most recently served as vice president of accounting at Function of Beauty.
  • Dan Ray, executive chef, who has been involved in the restaurant industry since his days at Michigan State University in 2001. In 2006, he was named the sous chef at The Red Cedar Grill. He went on to serve as a chef at two local restaurants until becoming part of the Urban Feast group, where he oversaw foodservice operations.
  • Rebecca Chesnut, CMP, event logistics manager, who comes to LEPFA from ASM Global at DeVos Place, DeVos Performance Hall, and Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
  • Karen Wilson, foodservice operations manager, who previously served as food service coordinator at the Lansing Center since 2013. She also oversees food and beverage operations at Groesbeck Golf Course and Common Ground Music Festival.

“We have the A-list of industry professionals ready to provide exceptional service to our customers,” said Commission Chair James Stajos. “As in-person events get back into full swing, the LEPFA team is excited to exceed expectations.”

In addition to the leadership announcements, LEPFA announces new staffers James Hall and James Granger as building engineers and Angela O’Neal as human resources/payroll coordinator. Matt Arens also made the move from part-time to full-time facility worker.
