Aliza Ghaffari, Program Coordinator for NorthWest Initiative (NWI) Food Systems Project and Danyel Evans, Outreach Manager for NWI talks about creating healthy communities in northwest Lansing.

NWI is creating healthy communities through engagement and mobilization. They also assist their the development of healthy vibrant communities by building capacity to identify needs and formulate strategies to create change.

Programs: Food Systems (Community Gardens), Outreach, Free Tax Preparation, Food Distribution, Heart of Lansing Village (Seniors staying in their homes), ARRO (ex-offender assistance). For more information, log on to www.nwlansing.org.
