The July 10, 2022 issue of the Lansing State Journal announced that Liberty Coin Service was recognized in the Antique/Coin & Collectibles shopping category in the 2022 Best Of The Best in the Official Community Choice Awards.

Said Tom Coulson, Liberty Coin Service owner and general manager, “I thank the readers of the Lansing State Journal for their appreciation of how we serve tens of thousands of customers every year.  Liberty easily has the highest customer traffic of any antique, coin, or collectibles store in the greater Lansing area.  Not only do customers visit us to buy and sell coins, currency, precious metals bullion, and jewelry, but also the several niches of antiques and collectibles we handle.”

Tom continued, “Customers visit Liberty for possible transactions and also have fun as well.  For instance, Liberty features free rotating museum displays in our showroom, often including Lansing, Michigan, and Michigan State University historic memorabilia.  Our current exhibit is ‘Love Tokens And Other Interesting Coin Jewelry’ that features coins from the 1800s that were turned into pieces of art or jewelry.  In addition, children are welcome each time they visit to select for free up to six world coins from a treasure chest.”

Founded in 1971, frequently-honored Liberty Coin Service celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.  It is Michigan’s largest rare coin and precious metals dealership.  Liberty Coins, as it is known locally, has been located in Lansing’s Frandor Shopping Center since 1975.
