Lansing Capital Region International Airport - Offers Direct Flights

Michigan Business Beat
September 21, 2015 12:00 PM

Regional BusinessBob Selig, Executive Director of the Lansing Capital Region International Airport, speaks with Chris, on the challenges of smaller communities to maintain and retain air service.

It is however, difficult for smaller communities to develop economically when there is no direct air connections to national chains and support systems, and there is an economic impact that the businesses have on the airline industry, as well. Lansing is one of only two airports that have federal facilities that process passengers into the country. Bob announces good news that American Airlines will start operating directly out of Lansing Capital Region International Airport, providing direct service to Washington and Chicago.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
