These knowledge competencies include the areas of Global Business Management, Global Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Trade Finance. Jade elaborates on why these are the four core areas for a company to have knowledge when conducting global business. There are also five “threads” within these four core areas that are critical, including Documentation, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Intercultural Awareness, Technology, and Resources. Jade discusses how much effort a company should spend on figuring out these issues before deciding to engage globally.
