From the 28th Annual WINS Celebration Michigan Business Network shares the keynote by evening speaker Dr. Sheri Prentiss, M.D., an Occupational and Environmental Medicine Physician and recent breast cancer survivor.
The eleven segments share her story and how she grew up wanting to be a doctor, and the challenges and opportunities presented by her illnesses. The October 9th celebration at the Michigan Athletic Club in East Lansing, gathered the amazing Breast Cancer Warriors and were assisted by many including MSU ROTC Candidates.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, survivors celebrated at Sparrow WINS event. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, dozens of local breast cancer survivors and Patients gathered in East Lansing, MI, for the 28th Annual Sparrow WINS (Women’s Information Network Support) Breast Cancer Celebration.
It’s an uplifting evening of celebration, inspiration, testimonials and bonding. The event featured keynote speaker Sheri Prentiss, M.D., an Occupational and Environmental Medicine Physician and a recent breast cancer survivor. Dr. Prentiss has dedicated her life to encouraging others to L.I.V.E. life to its fullest. That acronym means survivors loving themselves, inspiring those around them, voicing their dreams, and enjoying life.
The event is sponsored by WINS, a breast cancer support group, and the Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center. Michigan Athletic Club, Wimbledon Room, 2900 Hannah Boulevard, hosted this occasion.
