BAY FUTURE, INC. ANNOUNCES JIM REAUME AS NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

Bay County, MI - Bay Future, Inc., the countywide economic development organization committed to business retention, attraction, and expansion, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Reaume as its new President & CEO.

Reaume (left), a Bay County native, previously held the position of Economic Development Manager with Bay Future and has a proven track record of success within the organization. A proud alumnus of Central Michigan University, Reaume graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Community Development and a Master of Science in Public Administration. Additionally, he is a decorated US Army Veteran with nearly ten years of active service.

"I am thrilled to embrace this increased responsibility and to contribute even more significantly to our community," said Reaume. "Bay County is not only my hometown, but it is also a fantastic place to live and work. I look forward to collaborating with our partners and stakeholders to enhance the quality of life for current and future residents by attracting businesses and fostering the creation of new living-wage jobs."

Magen Samyn, President & CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Board Chair at Bay Future, emphasized the thorough selection process that culminated in Reaume’s appointment. "Jim’s passion for the community, his educational background, and his extensive work experience make him the perfect fit for this role," said Samyn. “Our board of directors have great trust in Jim as the new President & CEO of Bay Future, Inc. The selection process was highly competitive, and Jim’s dedication, professionalism, and proficiency were outstanding. We believe he embodies the qualities we were seeking in a leader."

Reaume brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Michigan Economic Developers Association, International Economic Development Council, American Society for Public Administration, and American Planning Association. He also serves on the City of Bay City Planning Commission.
