On your mark, get set, go! Start the holiday season off right by joining us for the 6th Annual Silver Bells 5K Run/Walk in downtown Lansing. Downtown Lansing Inc. is proud to host the charity 5K Run/Walk benefitting Silver Bells in the City and the Chris and Louise Holman Foundation on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The course begins and ends at the State Capitol. The 5K Run/Walk will be chip timed and awards will be handed out to the top three finishers in each age group. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, although they are not required. Prizes will be awarded for the best traditional Christmas costume.
NEW FOR 2016 – Finishers medals will be given to all 5K finishers.
The Silver Bells 5K Run/Walk is presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network and is coordinated by the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
Pick up your packet at Playmakers (2299 W. Grand River Ave., Okemos) on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. Packet pick up is also available on-site on Saturday morning starting at 8 a.m. All participants who register by Nov. 15 will receive a commemorative long-sleeve Silver Bells t-shirt. Registration ends Nov. 15.
