WEST BLOOMFIELD, Michigan – May 24, 2017 – Construction Association of Michigan (CAM), American Institute of Architects Michigan (AIA), Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) and Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan (HBA) have partnered to present the seventh annual Mid-Year Economic Forecast and State of the Industry Breakfast on

Thursday, June 15, 2017. The event will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi and will feature Keynote speakers Jeff Nutting, Lead Planner and Principal Socioeconomic Forecaster at SEMCOG and Eric Bussis, Michigan Chief Economist and Director of the Office of
Revenue and Tax Analysis in the Michigan Department of Treasury.

The breakfast meeting will begin with a tradeshow and opportunity for guests to meet the speakers from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., including networking and tabletop displays. This will be followed by a full family style breakfast and the program from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Kevin Koehler, president of CAM noted, “Since envisioning and launching this program in 2011, our organizations have expanded the scope of the audience to include a greater segment of the construction industry. We have created a valuable service to everyone involved in construction and offer them the opportunity to convene to learn where the economy is heading.”

Michael Stoskopf, CEO of HBA agrees and added, “This is the seventh year we are producing this event and we welcome the addition of SEMCOG to make it an even more comprehensive program for our members. We anticipate that both speakers will offer important insights to aid the audience in making their business plans for the remainder of 2017 and beyond.”
