"As key decisions are being made about business operations in preparation for any effects of the COVID-19, it’s important to hear from state leaders at the front lines and subject matter experts who can help navigate the risks. The Chamber will be hosting a COVID-19 Tele-Town Hall Series, with regular guest speakers, to help businesses prepare for the impact of the virus.

Guest Speaker: Lee Chatfield
Michigan Speaker of the House

Michigan Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield will discuss the state’s response to the COVID-19 crisis and the resources available to businesses. Speaker Chatfield will engage in a one-on-one discussion with Sandy K. Baruah, president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber. Participants will have the option to submit questions to Baruah during the discussion.



Tuesday, April 7

Guest Speaker: Robert Gordon
Director, Department of Health and Human Services, State of Michigan

Robert Gordon, director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will discuss the response to the COVID-19 crisis and the resources available. Gordon will engage in a one-on-one discussion with Bob Riney, president of Healthcare Operations and chief operating officer at Henry Ford Health System. Participants will have the option to submit questions to Williams during the discussion.

Guest Speaker: U.S. Rep. Fred Upton

U.S. Rep. Fred Upton will discuss the federal response to the COVID-19 crisis and the resources available to businesses. Rep. Upton will engage in a one-on-one discussion with Sandy K.
