$190k Check Presentation for MLK Jr. Commission of Mid-Michigan

Staff Funded Initiative Supports Diverse Organizations

The Cinnaire Cares initiative is a companywide staff-funded and driven charitable program that was created by our employees. Cinnaire Cares provides an opportunity for our team to support our mission by contributing twice monthly to a fund that has been established to support staff nominated charities. In addition to financial contributions, Cinnaire staff are actively involved in volunteering their personal time to support our non-profit partners. We are pleased to announce the most recent Cinnaire Cares donations. With Cinnaire’s matching donation, a total of $14,645 was raised during this funding round. Each organization will receive $2,440.

Competitive AHP Awards Will Support Over 2,600 Affordable Apartments

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBC) recently announced it’s 2019 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) Award winners. The FHLBC awarded $27.7 million in grants through its competitive AHP to help finance 50 housing projects located primarily in Illinois and Wisconsin. With these awards, the FHLBC is investing in the acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction of over 2,600 housing units. Cinnaire received an AHP award of $2,835,000 to support five affordable housing developments in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Financial Assistance Award Will Support Low-Income and Distressed Communities

Cinnaire is proud to be one of 284 Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to receive an award from the U.S. Department of Treasury’s CDFI Fund. The $1 million Financial Assistance (FA) award will be used to provide creative loans and flexible financing to support low-income, distressed communities throughout Cinnaire’s footprint. Cinnaire received awards in three categories – the core financial assistance award, the persistent poverty award and the disability financing award.
