Michigan Unemployment Rate Edged down in September

LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate declined by two-tenths of a percentage point in September to 8.5 percent, according to data released today by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget. The number of employed and unemployed both moved down in September, as the state workforce decreased by 23,000 over the month.
