Chris Holman continued his conversation with Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA's) President and CEO Chuck Hadden, Lansing, MI.
They review how MMA is working to help recognize manufacturers for the tremendous work they do and the way they are inspiring the next generation of industry leaders to do more and go further.
November 9th is when the MFG Excellence Awards are coming to Lansing’s Crowne Plaza West. It’s a black-tie event dedicated to the celebration of manufacturing and the men and women who make it shine.
However, the big focus NOW is Award nominations are open through Thursday, September 14 (LESS THAN ONE WEEK LEFT) and MMA wants to encourage all manufacturers and pro-manufacturing leaders to nominate those who represent the industry’s very best.
Categories include: John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year (an annual award since 1981), talent champion, emerging leader, lifetime achievement, community impact, and innovation Self-nominations are encouraged.
Nominating is super easy this year — just go to the brand-new www.MIMFG.org and complete the online form. An independent panel of judges will select winners.
Chuck reviews talent and other issues facing manufacturing these days and covers why was it important to turn the MMA’s annual awarding of the Michigan Manufacturer of the Year into a full-scale, stand-alone event!
