T.G.I.F.: The Guild's Incredible Fundraiser
Chris Holman welcomed Deb Ginsburg with the Sparrow Guild, Sparrow Health System, Lansing, MI, into the studio to discuss the Guild promoting T.G.I.F., a Nov. 2 fundraiser that will benefit the Sparrow Thoracic Cardiovascular Institute, Sparrow's cardiology practice.

Proceeds will benefit the Sparrow Thoracic Cardiovascular Institute in order to purchase state-of-the-science equipment in their new, consolidated home on the fourth floor of the Sparrow Plaza Building which opened in August, 2017.

Sparrow Hospital Guild is comprised of 50 women, and as a committee, has been raising funds and supporting Sparrow Hospital for over 90 years; to date, the Guild has raised and donated over $1.3 million all of which has gone directly to the hospital for a myriad of purposes.
Throughout the past year, the Sparrow Guild has funded over 30 grants given to Sparrow including providing conferencing for staff, purchasing additional equipment and the production of a new DVD for parents whose babies are admitted to the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) at Sparrow. Many departments including the Cancer Center, Women’s Services, Pediatrics, the Regional Trauma Center and Hospice have benefited from the Guild’s generous gifts.
