Michigan Business Beat
January 23, 2019 3:00 PM

IMG_7625The Michigan Business Network was on hand at Sparrow Hospital as Sparrow volunteers and leaders discuss the importance of retaining good volunteers. Sparrow was founded by volunteers and are the lifeblood of who they are what they do as a hospital. However, like many organizations, the growth of the "Sandwich Generation" and grandparents helping care for grandchildren is having an impact on retaining the hundreds of Volunteers needed by the hospital.

MBN caught up with Sparrow Volunteer Ann Kauffold (segment 1) along with Sparrow's Director of Volunteer Services - Melissa Sherry (segment 2) for an inside look into why volunteering at Sparrow is flexible and rewarding.
