Leading the way in safety and transparency, Sparrow is becoming the first hospital in Lansing – and among a limited number in Michigan -- to display quality and safety metrics on wide screen monitors on all inpatient units.
The e-Quality and Safety Boards will display a series of rotating metrics that measure such things as how well Caregivers are communicating with Patients and families, how well Caregivers are complying with our handwashing standards, and measures specific to each unit. The goal is to allow Patients and families to evaluate how they’re doing for themselves as we continually work to enhance our communication and accountability.
Thursday February 6th Sparrow officials demonstrated one of the monitors and were on hand to explain why they’ve undertaken this initiative.
for Health. for Care. for Life.
