Michigan Business Beat
August 27, 2015 11:30 AM

Regional BusinessWhile at the Michigan Economic Developers Association's Annual Meeting (MEDA), at Shanty Creek Resort of Bellaire, Michigan, Chris spoke with Maureen Donohue Krauss, Vice President Economic Development and Business Attraction at the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce.

She speaks on regionalism within the state of Michigan, and the impact of global investments. A regional focus will bring in new jobs and investments into the area, while attracting millenniums. She speaks about the impact that Dan Gilbert, and the Ilitch and Carlson families have had, which keeps the momentum going. They discuss the importance of companies and entrepreneurs taking advantage of the infrastructure that is already developed to help rebuild the region. Stronger economic policy is key for positive growth. Revitalization is happening in Detroit, Rochester, Northfield, Royal Oaks and many other communities.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
