On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. NMU Northern (University) Center will host their Summer Employment Fair.
The Summer Employment Fair is an opportunity for companies and organizations to discuss summer jobs, internships and part-time jobs with students.
Current Students: Please bring copies of your resume and your student ID.
Students and Alumni: Click here or visit Handshake (log into MyNMU and click on Handshake under the Student Resources tab) for a list of participating employers. This list provides information on each employer registered to attend and positions they are hiring for. Click here to view the job fair floor plan. For a chance to win a prize, log into Handshake and join this event! Students/Alumni who join and also check-in at the job fair will be placed into a drawing. Ten winners will be selected and notified the day after the fair.

Employers: To register for this event, log in to Handshake. On your Dashboard, click on 'Fairs' on the left side. Search then click on 'Summer Employment Fair'. Next, click on the blue '+ Register' button. Once you have completed your registration, click 'Create Registration'. NMU on-campus departments: Make sure to choose your department under 'Registration Division'.
Registration fees for 2019-2020 job fairs:
- For-profit organizations: $100 (includes a table, chairs and lunch for 2 recruiters; additional recruiters will cost $15 each)
- Non-profit organizations: $25 (includes a table, chairs and lunch for 2 recruiters; additional recruiters will cost $15 each)
Registration Timeline:
Payment deadline: February 5 at 5 p.m. EST
Registration cancellation (with refund): January 29 at 5 p.m. EST
A late registration fee of $50 will be added for those employers registering after the deadline date of February 5, 2020.
