LANSING, Mich. (July 8, 2021) – Lansing Community College is offering a new way for working professionals to earn their associate degrees. The college’s Evening Advancement Business Program will assemble students into a cohort who can take advantage of evening classes to complete 10 different business degrees.

Working in this environment of peer support, students will complete the six general business courses required for any Business Associate degree. They can also complete their five general education courses in the evenings or online. Once those courses are complete, students will move on to courses specific to their chosen degree.

“Education shouldn’t end when you turn 21 or 22,” LCC East Coordinator Mark Khol said. “LCC is excited to create this opportunity for working adults to receive their associate degree on a schedule that works for them.”

Available degrees through this Evening Advancement program are:

  • Accounting
  • Business Administration
  • Business Transfer Studies
  • Field Sales and Marketing
  • Financial Institutions
  • Human Resource Management
  • Insurance and Risk Management
  • International Business
  • Management and Leadership
  • Marketing

In addition to class hours convenient to working adults, student support services are integral to the program. These include dedicated academic advising, tutoring, and success coaching.

Courses will be held at LCC’s East Campus, located at 2827 Eyde Parkway in East Lansing. This fall, classes will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Visit www.lcc.edu/evening_advancement for more information.
