Dear friends

It has always been my dream to open my own business ever since I was about 18 years old. My ultimate goal is to see my beauty salon become a one-stop shop, which will provide all of the pampering services for women, men and children. I feel this type of business will be a wonderful addition within the Detroit community.
I am most proud of being a minority woman owning my own businesses. This gives me opportunity to create jobs, grow wealth, and give back in so many ways. It also helps shape the way my daughter and other young ladies can see themselves as they grow and develop into leaders.

Michigan Women Forward gave me an opportunity and awarded me a grant to help in my journey in maintaining my business during this most difficult time. Thank you for believing in me.

Give opportunities to women like La Keisa

Please consider giving a year-end gift to Michigan Women Forward today, on this national day of giving and generosity, and continue opening doors for women entrepreneurs (like La Keisa) so they have the opportunity to start businesses and control their own destinies.

Your donation today can create a better future for Michigan women and girls by...

  • Supporting MWF's women's entrepreneurial programs, enabling women to start and grow their own businesses.
  • Maintaining MWF's unique empowerment programming for Michigan high school and middle school girls.
  • Sustaining the HERstory Museum and Hall of Fame to continue educating about the accomplishments of Michigan women.
