Scott, welcome back and remind our statewide business community about LEPFA.

It's just been announced, that LEPFA has new board officers, additions & staff -- what are some of those highlights?

You recently got some significant accreditation, tell us about that?

Mindy Biladeau, vice president of sales and service, also has fresh credentials as well, what are those?

LEPFA also shared details on the staff and board changes.

LANSING, MI – Amid staff shortages and low employment rates, LEPFA continues to hire quality, qualified individuals to provide top-notch service to customers and visitors to the Greater Lansing area. 

            LEPFA manages entertainment hubs within the city, including the Lansing Center, Jackson Field and Groesbeck Golf Course.

            “Our mission is to serve as a catalyst to enhance both local and regional economic growth,” said Scott Keith, LEPFA president and CEO. “Our staff additions allow us that opportunity and recognize our staff who are eager to develop their professional skills while serving the community.”

            New LEPFA Board of Commissioner officers include:

·         Larry Leatherwood, chair

·         Kenric Hall, vice chair

·         Maureen McNulty-Saxton, secretary/treasurer

In addition to leadership announcements, LEPFA added the following new staff members:

In addition to the staff additions, LEPFA executives also have earned significant accreditations. Recently, Keith and Mindy Biladeau, vice president of sales and service, expanded their professional development skills. Keith earned his CVE (Certified Venue Executive) designation. The CVE designation demonstrates the venue executive is a skilled manager, committed to the industry, and pledged to continued professional growth and development.

Biladeau graduated from IVAM’s Venue Management School. The VMS programs consist of two separate week-long courses of intensive instruction held over two consecutive years. The VMS curriculum covers event management, life safety, marketing and advertising, crowd management and the guest experience. The second year of VMS focuses on leadership and image, cost control, risk management and insurance, and strategic business planning.
