Michigan Bankers Association Announces New Board

Chairman, Jerome Schwind, President, Isabella Bank

LANSING, Mich.- 
The Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) announces the election of Jerome Schwind, President, of Isabella Bank as Chairman of the Board of Directors. 

“Jerome is a talented business leader and an experienced board member,” stated T. Rann Paynter, President, and CEO, MBA. “Jerome’s breadth of industry knowledge will be an essential asset and valuable resource to the MBA and our members.”

Mr. Schwind has been a director of Isabella Bank Corporation and of the Bank since 2017.  He has been employed by the Bank since 1999 and has served in various roles at the Bank including Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Schwind received his undergraduate degree from Ferris State University and his MBA from Lake Superior State University. He is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Executive Development program, the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Rollie Denison Leadership Institute. He serves as the Chair for the Middle Michigan Development Corporation, is a member of the Finance Advisory Board for the Ferris State University College of Business, the Perry School of Banking Board, the Michigan Bankers Association Board, and also the Great Lakes Bay Alliance Board. 

“I am honored to have been elected by my peers to serve as MBA Chairman,” Schwind said. “I look forward to working closely with such a talented, respected group of officers and board members to ensure the Michigan Bankers Association remains a strong resource for the state's banks, their customers, and Michigan’s communities.” 

The 2022-2023 Michigan Bankers Association executive committee includes in addition to Schwind, Roxanne Daust, Chair-Elect, President & CEO, Range Bank; Raymond Biggs, Treasurer, President and CEO, West Shore Bank; William B. Kessel Immediate Past Chairman, Independent Bank; Rann Paynter, President and CEO, Michigan Bankers Association.
