Tony Conley is a newer content contributor and show host for Michigan Business Network. To kick off his fifteenth episode, Tony has a three-segment conversation about how the media covers the educational initiative Let Kids Learn along with information about that -- what it is and isn't.

He joins Fred Wszolek, who works with clients to define the strategies and messages that will ensure victory. He brings more than three decades of political experience to his work.

Listen to Fred and Tony's conversation by clicking on the PodCast playlist below!

From campaign manager in the field to media producer in the studio, Fred has been involved in winning political and issue campaigns since 1984.

Fred is an innovator in politics. Working with a team of nationally recognized pollsters, Fred helped develop MicroTargeting, the first “Big Data” targeting and market segmentation tools available to Republican campaigns in America. In 2002, Campaigns & Elections magazine named Fred one of the Rising Stars of Politics.

Fred's broadcast advertising work for candidates and ballot proposals has been recognized with numerous Pollie, Telly, and Communicator Awards.

Fred has developed a particular specialty in the passage and defeat of ballot proposals, where he has developed a unique public opinion research methodology for determining what messages will push voters to cast their votes for or against the huge number of direct democracy proposals that are appearing on ballots in many states.

Their discussion covers Let MI Kids Learn, Giving Parents Control – Expanding Opportunities for Michigan Students. All children deserve an exceptional education.

Let’s trust parents, not bureaucrats, to make the best decisions for their kids. The pandemic took a heavy toll on Michigan students. Now’s the time to support Michigan’s students, to give parents more control, and to expand opportunities for every student.

Both the Michigan House and Senate passed this legislation, but Governor Gretchen Whitmer wouldn't add her signature for it to become law. Now if more than 340,000 Michigan voters add their signature to our initiative petitions, these opportunities can be a reality for Michigan children and families.

Media Business, hosted by Tony Conley. As a media veteran with more than 25 years of working experience working in television, radio, print, and social media platforms, Tony and his guests will explore the business of the media. Does the media care about journalistic integrity, proper reporting, making profits, telling all sides of every story? Is the media now an opinion based entity focused on its own agenda and do they favor sides? How does the media influence business and how does business influence the media? What are the solutions to the frenzy of Media Madness? Media Business will present all sides of these stories and let you decide.
