About the author: Matt Fenster has been involved in commercial real estate development, operations, leasing and management for more than 26 years. He has been responsible for the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and management of over 10 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail space in the Midwest.

Matt started his real estate career as a tenant rep and leasing agent in 1991 and soon started to represent some of the nation’s largest corporations and institutional landlords in their real estate activities. In 1998, he left his position to start Paragon in an effort to realize his vision on real estate investment and development. In 2012, Matt merged Paragon into Etkin Equities to provide a better platform to service its clients. Etkin is a full-service commercial real estate firm engaged in the management, acquisition, development and marketing of office, industrial, retail, hotel and mixed-use properties. Formed in 1982, the company is also selectively involved in fee-based property management and development services on behalf of third party owners. Etkin has developed more than 60 high-profile properties consisting of over 9.5 million square feet of commercial space in Michigan.
