Maner Costerisan Announces Key Executive Promotions

Maddy Henry, CPA and Jordan Smith, CPA join accounting firm’s principal group, Jeff Straus, CPA,
named to board of directors

LANSING, Mich. – Maner Costerisan, a top regional business consulting and award-winning public accounting firm, announced two promotions and additions to its principal group, and a new board member.

Maddy Henry, CPA, was promoted to principal in January 2023. She joined Maner Costerisan’s
tax department in 2012. Maddy works closely with the firm’s small and midsize business clients,
helping them navigate the complexities of tax planning. She is a strong contributor to Maner’s
cannabis team and an active member of the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) Cannabis
Expert Panel. Maddy graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in
business administration and a master’s degree in taxation. She lives in Grand Rapids with her
husband, Chris, and their two dogs.

Jordan Smith, CPA, was promoted to principal in January 2023. He joined Maner Costerisan as
part of the firm’s merger with Stevens, Kirinovic & Tucker P.C. (SKT), LLC in January 2019.
Jordan has nearly 18 years of government auditing experience and assists clients in finding
innovative solutions to budgetary constraints and internal controls while remaining compliant
with state and federal requirements. Jordan, an Olivet Nazarene University graduate, lives in St.
Johns with his wife and three children. “We are excited to welcome Maddy and Jordan to the principal group,” said Trey Williams, president. “Their leadership, commitment to excellent client service, and team building skills are valuable assets to the firm.”

Jeff Straus, CPA and audit principal, was named to the firm’s board of directors effective Jan. 1.
Jeff brings nearly 17 years of experience specializing in education, government, and nonprofit
auditing and consulting to Maner Costerisan. Jeff is an active member of the firm’s education
team and a dedicated advisor who makes the needs of his clients a top priority. “Jeff is committed to helping our clients and our team succeed,” said Williams. “He’s very passionate about doing the right thing and has a tremendous work ethic and sense of personal integrity. He brings a common-sense approach to assisting clients and team members. I look forward to the continued impact he’ll have on the firm in his new role on the board.”
