LAFCU Promotes Justin Tuck and Amy Thelen

LAFCU-Logo-e1531493546398LANSING, Mich. — LAFCU has promoted Justin Tuck to Assistant Vice President of Operations and Amy Thelen to Human Resources Generalist.

 Justin Tuck will be responsible for operations, including teller and lending functions as well as staff supervision, at the South Lansing and Collins Road branches effective Aug. 12. He’ll also represent LAFCU in the community.

As Human Resources Generalist, Amy Thelen will oversee recruiting, benefits administration and retiree relations.

“Justin is an asset to our community and has earned this promotion through hard work and proven dedication to LAFCU and to the financial betterment of members,” said Angie Ruzinsky, Chief Membership Officer.

Most recently Assistant Branch Manager for LAFCU’s Charlotte Branch, the Grand Ledge resident joined LAFCU in 2014, initially working in the Contact Center. With more than 11 years in the financial industry, he also gained experience in consumer loans and served as a teller at a Lansing-area bank.

Tuck said, “Working for members on a daily basis and helping them reach their financial goals is an extremely rewarding job.”

In the community, Tuck is a member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in management at Northwood University, Midland, and holds an associate degree in accounting from Lansing Community College, Lansing.

“Amy’s deep understanding of the interpersonal communication skills necessary for a member-focused organization will be invaluable as LAFCU continues to grow,” said Robyn Howell, Vice President of Human Resources.

The St. Johns resident came to LAFCU in 2015, most recently serving as collector in the collections department. She has additional relevant experience in the insurance industry and as a customer service representative for another credit union.

 

Amy Thelen said, “This opportunity to build and support the LAFCU team to meet members’ needs is exciting. It is in alignment with the training I have sought and my career goals.”

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant.
