Screen Shot 2019-08-27 at 9.13.10 AMErik Larson, Executive Director, Impression 5 Science Center, Lansing, MI, checks in with Jeffrey Mosher to discuss SMASH: A Nuclear Adventure which is COLLIDING WITH LANSING AUGUST 2019.

SMASH: A Nuclear Adventure, a 1,500 square-foot interactive exhibit, opens at Impression 5 Science Center in August 2019 to introduce children and families to the wonders of nuclear science in a hands-on way that allows them to explore the building blocks of the universe. It is inspired by Michigan State University’s National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory and the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams and the positive, life-changing research happening now at NSCL and that will happen in the future at FRIB.

The exhibit will provide a dynamic space for children and families to explore nuclear science in a hands-on way. They’ll be able to explore atoms, smash them to create rare isotopes, observe cosmic rays, and challenge their understanding of what’s possible through new discoveries in nuclear science.

Listen to Erik Larson's and Jeffrey talk more about the exhibit below!
