IBC Quarterly Newsletter - Summer 2020

globalEDGE Business Beat
July 17, 2020 9:00 AM

ei (1)Hello, and welcome to the first quarterly eNewsletter of the International Business Center (IBC) and MSU-CIBER. We have started this newsletter to keep in touch and share information about the global initiatives at the college and university levels, as well as the broader AIB and CIBER community. In this first issue, we decided to present an overview of the activities that help us achieve our mission. We hope that our newsletters in the future will inform you about our activities, upcoming events, conferences, news, and updates, among other relevant information about various international business topics.

I would also like to use this opportunity to announce my appointment as the Director of the International Business Center and MSU-CIBER. I am very much looking forward to working with you to solidify IBC’s relations with internal and external partners and ensure the IBC continues its mission to support faculty, students, public policy makers, and the business community.

Ahmet H. Kirca, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of International Business and Marketing

Director of the International Business Center and MSU-CIBER

MSU-CIBER

The International Business Center (IBC) in The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University was designated in 1990 as a National Resource Center by the U.S. Department of Education (i.e., a Center for International Business Education and Research, or CIBER). The IBC has achieved this competitive grant continuously since its inception, currently one of only 15 such centers in the country. As a Title VI center dedicated to advancing U.S. global competitiveness, the CIBER designation comingles with the IBC's mission of leveraging our leading-edge competencies to provide superior education, research, and assistance to businesses, public policy makers, academics, and students on issues of importance to international trade and global competitiveness using our guiding principles as the foundation.
