On the eve of its 10-year anniversary, Harmony Brewing Company has begun to implement big changes for the future of the company.

Grand Rapids MI- After 10 years of operating as an exclusively on-site sale brewpub, local brewery Harmony Brewing Company has officially changed its licensing to a become a microbrewery. This change will allow Harmony to distribute its beer to restaurants and specialty beverage stores across west Michigan. The new license will also provide the opportunity for Harmony Brewing Company to launch its own lines of wines and spirits.

“We have been dreaming about this for a really long time,” said co-owner Jackson VanDyke, ”Harmony has been around for ten years, and we have established a company with a strong reputation and some fantastic products that we are super proud of. We put a lot of love into what we do, and we can’t wait to get Harmony in front of even more people.”

Harmony is investing in a new canning line and upgrading its beer production equipment at its West Side location, Harmony Hall (401 Stocking Ave NW.) Current plans are to inaugurate Harmony’s new canned beer with a series of parties and events celebrating Harmony Brewing’s Tenth anniversary in 2022.

Harmony Eastown (1551 Lake Dr. SE) has been outfitted with a small distillery where the beginning stages of small-scale spirits and liqueur production is already underway. According to co-owner Barry VanDyke, “We’ve always had an interest in unique liqueurs and herbaceous spirits, and there aren’t too many craft producers of this kind of beverages. We’re going to produce classic spirits alongside creative new gins and experimental old-world-inspired liqueurs. It’s a whole new form of expression, I can’t wait!”

Harmony Brewing Company is owned by three siblings who believe in the value of leading from the heart. Harmony has been serving award-winning wood-fired pizzas and beer at the Eastown location since 2012. In 2015 the siblings opened Harmony Hall and moved much of their beer production to the west side of Grand Rapids. Harmony Hall’s menu is built around house-made sausages and burgers, along with many creative vegan options. Harmony Hall also features events every night of the week including live music, stand-up comedy, and bingo.

UPCOMING HOLIDAY EVENTS-
