Dr. Hult also published this piece as a an op-ed article in The Hill, with the same title, on April 19, 2019.

The focus of the segment is on the duality of exporting higher education and developing the U.S. workforce to be internationally competitive is important for the country. Some 1.1 million foreign students contribute $42 billion in export revenues to U.S. colleges and universities, with China sending about 330,000 students to the U.S. annually, contributing a massive amount to the country’s education-export economy.
