About the film, Exported from Michigan:
Exported From Michigan is a feature length documentary film that was completed in June 2014. It premiered at Wealthy Theatre, and was accepted into the State Library archives, in Lansing, in September 2014, and screened there at that time. It won the Audience Choice Award, at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in May 2015; and Best Documentary honors at the Princeton Independent Film Festival, in New Jersey, just last week. After ArtPrize / Waterfront, it will screen at Made in Michigan, Orlando FL, and East Lansing Film Festivals.
It was a true labor of love for Jon, as he grew up in Grand Rapids, and even though he lives in Colorado now, Michigan is his home. Jon spent 5,500 hours on the film over the last 4.5 years, and it feels good to finally have it find an audience.
