Ron Lopez joined Astroscale as Managing Director in April 2019 to lead the company’s business operations in the United States.
 
Ron started his career as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force, serving as the focal point for Space Situational Awareness capability development at Air Force Space Command’s Space Control Division. He then joined Boeing and worked on various
programs as a Systems Engineering Manager within Boeing Research & Technology and Phantom Works and led business development activities for the Network & Space Systems division throughout the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Astroscale, Ron led
the Defense & Space Asia Pacific sales team at Honeywell Aerospace, helping the company achieve significant sales growth and expansion into new markets.
 
Ron earned a Bachelor of Science from The United States Air Force Academy in 1993.
 
Miguel Ayala is CEO of Exodus Space.
He has more than 18 years of experience in engineering and management of multidisciplinary engineering teams developing aircraft, launch vehicles, spacecraft, and associated ground support equipment.
 
Previous programs include ULA Vulcan rocket at Belcan, Orion spacecraft and A2100 satellites at Lockheed Martin, Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets at SpaceX, aircraft GNC at L3 Technologies, Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 aircraft engines and ISS habitat module at Honeywell, and NASA Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster processing at Thiokol Propulsion (Northrop Grumman).
 
Miguel holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University.

North American Space Summit
The focus of MAMA’s North American Space Summit (NASS) is to provide an educational and networking forum for aerospace stakeholders from academia, government and commercial organizations.
The NASS is held each Fall in Traverse City, Michigan. The summit is held over two days with presentations and panels on Space industry issues, trends and technology.
