A majority of online sellers aren't complying with Wayfair rules - are you one of them?

Three years after the South Dakota v. Wayfair decision requiring out-of-state retailers to collect tax for online sales, most of those retailers are struggling to comply with the new law.

According to Bloomberg Law (June 22), whether retailers are ready or not, states are increasing their compliance efforts to collect sales tax: “A dozen states already have reputations for active enforcement strategies targeting remote retailers.”

States need money to help with the recovery from Covid-19, and online sellers are making more than ever. Arizona has gone as far as to hire a data analytics company to identify retailers classified as “non-filers.”
