As of 9:27 p.m. Saturday, July 20, the Lansing Board of Water & Light has 189 customers without power scattered throughout its service territory.
BWL has brought in outside municipal crews to assist BWL crews to restore power. While BWL is working as hard as it can to restore power to all customers, it could take until late Sunday for full restoration.
The severe heat and continued storms has delayed restoration efforts. Customers should use the BWL outage center for updated restoration times and to report outages at https://www.lbwl.com/outage-center.
Any customers that need to repair their masts, the vertical pole attached to their home that connects power to the pole, must have a licensed electrical contractor repair it before BWL can restore their power. For more information on mast repairs, go to https://www.lbwl.com/outage-center/mast-repair-payment-program.
