Back to the Bricks® PRESS RELEASE Chrome & Ice 2021 Event Update

A Shunpiker's Journal
December 2, 2020 6:00 PM

The Back to the Bricks® leaders have been in talks for the past few weeks about hosting the 6th Annual Chrome & Ice event in February 2021. After careful consideration and consultation with our Back to the Bricks® Board, Sponsors and many Volunteers, the 6th Annual Back to the Bricks® Chrome & Ice event will be postponed until 2022.

We did not come at this decision quickly, and it is not easy navigating through these unprecedented times. Due to the continued concerns over COVID-19, we believe that hosting our large indoor event is not the smartest nor would it be the easiest to put on and follow all current social distancing guidelines. We know that the situation could change before February 2021, but the amount that goes into planning this event, and then to possibly have to cancel it last minute, was not something our organization wanted to do.
Although we are cancelling this event, we are adding a few new events to enhance the 2021 season. We have already started Zoom meetings with our committees to insure we have the best events possible. More details to come.
As of today, our Promo Tour slatted for June 2021, will proceed and registration will open in late January, early February of 2021. Our Promo Tour Chairman, Pete Cimbala is working with the City Captains and local officials in each city to ensure we have all details organized and ready to go for our car enthusiasts! We know we had to postpone last years, so making sure this Promo Tour is ready for a larger tour attendance which we expect, is our top priority.
